My experience as a tutor at Dasein Academy of Art offered me a valuable opportunity to view my past work from new perspectives. It deepened my understanding of my abilities and clarified my future direction. Additionally, I was able to refine my previously acquired skills, including proficiency with various software and equipment.
After completing my final year project at Dasein Academic of Art, I found the direction I want to pursue in the future. I have a strong interest in interactive installations and a curiosity for new technology. Growing up with exposure to electronic components due to my family background, I quickly became adept at handling electronic devices and parts. My final year project, an art installation utilizing TouchDesigner and projection mapping, was showcased in several exhibitions and was honored with the Bronze Kancil Award in Digital Craft Interactive Design.
After my final year project, I became fascinated with TouchDesigner, a software that offers endless possibilities. I used it for my FYP and have been continuously exploring its capabilities ever since. While working as a tutor at Dasein Academic of Art, I organized a TouchDesigner introduction workshop. I’m delighted to share the knowledge I’ve explored and summarized with my students and juniors, and discussing with them has also taught me more. It’s been a valuable experience.
